Running for Mayor or City Council

Ivins City has one (1) Mayoral and two (2) City Council positions to be voted on this November. They are each four (4) year terms. The two City Council seats up for election are currently held by Lance Anderson and Mike Scott.

The filing period begins on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. and ends promptly at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Ivins City Hall, 85 North Main Street, Ivins, Utah.

Additional information will be posted on the Ivins website as the filing date approaches.

If you are out of town and have forwarded your mail, your ballot will NOT be forwarded. The only way you can receive your ballot at a different address is to update your mailing address.

Note: Don’t wait until the last minute to mail your ballot. It is likely that your ballot will not be postmarked the day you mail it. That may take a couple of days. And if it is postmarked too late, your vote won’t count.

  • You can “update your mailing address” at https://secure.utah.gov/voterreg/index.html
  • You can enter start and end dates in the online form.
  • You can also fill in a PDF form for a temporary cjhange of address. (Download the form) I’m not certain this is the best way to do it though. I worry about the information getting input in time.
