I just got this notice from Kari Jiminez, the Ivins City Recorder: “Please be aware that the old siren that is located on top of the fire station on Center Street in Ivins, and has been refurbished/repaired, is going to be tested on Friday, January 13th so that it is ready for the Great Shake Out on April 21st that will be conducted throughout the State of Utah.”
She added, “I had a former Ivins City resident tell me that when he was a kid living in St. George, he was able to hear this siren so we are anticipating that it could be loud.”
